"Not a fan"

The reception staff have always been kind and helpful to me. There's usually a 10 days-2 weeks wait for an appointment, but I suppose there isn't much they can do about it.

However, I always apprehend the actual consultation with my GP. I'm not saying she's a bad physician, but she always makes me feel like I'm wasting her time, talks to me like I'm an idiot and doesn't let me finish my sentences. English isn't my first language and I sometimes need her to repeat or clarify something, but I don't feel comfortable asking her anything. It can be quite humiliating.

I know some of my housemates registered at the same practice feel the same way and one of them has stopped going there altogether, although they have ongoing respiratory issues.

If you don't mind this kind of interaction and you value convenience over your relationship with your GP, it's probably fine to register there. But personally, I'll be looking for another GP, even if less convenient.
