My mother was in Ealing Hospital during its height of Covid-19 cases, a very busy time I’m sure. She passed away though, at the age of 95, not of Covid-19 but of other complications due to old age.
At this busy time, a member of the Macmillan palliative care team provided hugely helpful advice in a very kind, patient and sensitive manner.
Being a link between us the family, and the doctors and nursing team, the person kept us up to date, gave us answers to various questions and offered a kindly sympathetic ear - all in a very professional manner.
We are very grateful for this person’s presence. It helped ease us through the whole process.
I hope whoever is in charge of the palliative care team is able to read this review and that it will be of reassurance to others who may have to go through a similarly difficult time.
"Outstanding palliative care"
