Emergency surgery & staff with disabilities and long term health conditions
I'm a member of staff in Bo'ness Community Hospital. Towards the end of last year I became acutely unwell at work and required emergency bowel surgery.
The staff in Bo'ness were fantastic and started a basic assessment while we waited for the ambulance, everyone kept me calm and reassured.
During my stay in fvrh I received excellent care from Ms Cannings and her surgical team, the ICU staff and the staff in B11.
The team I want to thank the most the most is the staff in Bo'ness Ward One! As a staff member with various long term health conditions I have received amazing support from scn Cherise & dcn Lynn. Every step of the way their priority has been my own safety and wellbeing.
I would also like to thank my colleagues who have supported my shifts during my phased return and again during the covid-19 pandemic. Due to my own health conditions I am currently shielding at home and my work family have been nothing but supportive and accommodating.
"I have received amazing support"
