A lady that I work with rang an ambulance at approx 8am. The crew arrived and one of the paramedics came across as arrogant an uncaring and stated that she did not need to go to hospital. She stated that the paramedic wrote her stats wrong on the paperwork and left. Leaving her feeling panicked and really distraught.
I spoke to her and suggested we rang her GP who unfortunately wasn't able to offer a telephone consultation until 3.30pm.
The GP themselves rang an ambulance as they knew she was quite unwell.
It later transpired that she had had a heart attack and was kept in hospital for 5 days.
"The paramedic said she did not need to go to hospital"
