"Anxiety"

About: Inclusion Thurrock (IAPT)

(as a service user),

I felt desperate. My emotions were out of control. I couldnt focus on anything. The aniexty was affecting every aspect of my life. But since having counselling I have realised my self worth. I've realised that I took people's comments very personally. Depression has lifted. And my self confidence is coming back. I am finding myself again as I was totally lost. I cant thank claire enough for her time encouragement & support over the past 3 mths. With her help & support I am slowly getting my life back.

Dear Marsny38,

Thank you for being so open about how you felt before therapy, I think a lot of people will be able to relate to what you’ve shared. It’s so good to hear that counselling was able to facilitate and encourage so many realisations for you and that you are now able to see things in a different way. You deserve to feel confident and worthy and I know that Claire will be pleased to hear that you’re now able to see yourself in that way. It can be really hard to change the way we interpret and respond to things but it sounds like you were focused on really finding yourself again and peeling away the depression and anxiety that was making it hard to see the positive qualities you have. This can be a slow process, but it all counts and it sounds like you’re well on your way!

Thank you for sharing your experience.

All the best,

Chloe Anderson
