"Great care and treatment"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance King's Mill Hospital / Accident and emergency King's Mill Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

EMAS called to cardiac incident. The call centre staff were efficient and reassuring in dealing with  a stressful situation.  Two ambulances came and the crew were focussed and fast in getting my husband to A & E at Kingsmill Hospital.

Sadly due to Covid 19 I have not been allowed to visit my husband for 4 days. The A & E team were great and communicated with me in a timely way. Thanks to Berni especially.  Moved to ward 23 and all tests, procedures done quickly and results feedback to hubby. Despite circumstances a good outcome and discharge thanks to all the team from ambulance, A & E to ward 23 staff

Hello Kelda,

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words with us and I'm pleased to hear your husband is feeling better and is on the road to recovery.

I'm delighted to hear that our control room and ambulance crews were able to help you and your husband in your hour of need.

If you are able, we would appreciate you sharing your comments with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team, with as much detail as you can (e.g. date, time and location), so that they might identify the crew who cared for you and share your words with them. You may contact them via telephone on 0333 012 4216 or email emas.pals@nhs.net.

Best wishes,

Wendy Bainbridge

Ambulance Operations Manager for Nottinghamshire
