Having been a nurse for many years I found it very hard having to take my 5 year old son to A&E after an accident in the middle of the pandemic. The A&E staff were amazing and we were triaged quickly and appropriately. We were then transferred to the ward where we saw the surgeon and anaesthetist within half an hour of arriving. The staff were kind and caring and offered support to a distressed mummy. My wee guy was in theatre within 3 hours from arriving at A&E. The surgeon came from GRI and still the quick service was amazing. Attended the plastic clinics today where all the girls put us at ease. Hopefully not too many more visits required but have had excellent care so far and despite what is going on in the NHS just now you wouldn’t know as the place is running quietly and smoothly still. Thanks a lot.
