"Treated with the utmost respect"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Urology Lincoln County Hospital / X-ray and Scans Pilgrim Hospital Pilgrim Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was in agony with lack of urine flow, constipation and distended abdomen.

I was in an awful lot of pain and my wife took me to Lincoln Hospital. I was assessed very quickly and was seen by a lovely doctor who inserted a catheter, the withheld urine was drained out and I felt 10000 times better. I was given a scan and kept overnight in the ward, where the staff were faultless.

The next day I was transferred to Boston Pilgrim Hospital for a Urinolgy Consultant as there wasn't one at Lincoln. I was scanned, and treated with the utmost respect and devotion. I was taken by ambulance by one of the lovely nurses (because I was on a drip I was told) and two paramedics. Too many people to thank there but extra-special thanks to a young Nurse named Anna who kept me sane in my darkest hours there.

I was bought back home three days later and am now in the hands of Lincoln Hospital again.

Everyone was exceptional, especially in these crazy times and I cannot praise our NHS enough. They all deserve medals.
