"Thank you is not enough"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as a relative),

Great care from dedicated caring wonderful staff ward 8 at Wishaw general.

My dad was admitted very unwell and was confirmed Covid positive. The staff were wonderful about keeping us informed and never complained when we called to check how he was doing. They helped him with the mobile phone so he could call us and also arranged a time for a zoom call so dad could see his new great grand daughter.

They took such great care of him that he is now back home and at 83 years of age this was nothing short of a miracle.

Thank you.

Dear fi scotland,

I'm so pleased to hear that your dad has made a good recovery and been able to return home. The restricted visiting is tough for patients, families and staff alike; modern technology does enable us to stay connected virtually though, thank goodness!

The staff recognise this and try to ensure that as well as providing first class treatment and care they maintain good channels of communication with families; thank you for recognising their professionalism and dedication, it will be a real tonic for them.

I wish your dad well with his ongoing recuperation and hope you all stay safe and well.

Kind regards

Rick
