I had 11 severe nosebleeds in 14 days and lost a lot of blood. After each of the first 2 episodes I visited my GP who was very helpful and reassuring. After the third I went to A&E where they explained they couldn't do anything unless it was actually bleeding (as they would not be able to see the site). After I had 2 more hour-long episodes at home I called the ambulance. I was taken to Ear, Nose and Throat to have my nose packed. When I eventually saw a surgeon, he found the spot and cauterised it. Why couldn't someone have seen this earlier? I feel sorry that I had to wait so long for someone to be able to assist me.
