"left in the dark due to coronavirus"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

referred by Optician Sept 2019 - high pressure in eyes. Seen in St Mary's Hospital who diagnosed ocular hypertension + referred on to QA. Was sent a letter to go to another Opticians for diagnosis which was pointless as I had seen St. Mary's. Seen early December at QA and referred for laser treatment in left eye. Rec'd normal letter,no leaflet or info for treatment. Turned up + told could make eye sight worse so declined. Told i'd be seen in 6 months. Wrote letter to Dr. who saw me in March as further problems, no reply. Covid-19, all appointments cancelled except high risk, told I did not meet the criteria for high risk. Still have problems, phoned eye dept, told to phone eye casualty, given info + told to see GP or Optician - all closed due to covid-19. Told by Optician cannot be seen and that I would more than likely lose my sight than be seen in QA and get the coronavirus. QA told me I would receive a telephone call sometime in June/July.

Cannot be seen, but need pressures redone etc as 7 months left with untreated Ocular Hypertension. Have given up and discharged myself + will have to see Optician when anything opens. Cannot be treated by GP without Consultant's advice. Told by QA I do not meet the criteria to be seen.
