"In debt to the Phenomenal Cardiac team"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Cardiology (heart problems) Ward 1E

(as a parent/guardian),

Yet again our family is in debt to the cardiac team in Glasgow!

Firstly We would like to thank Mr Peng and the theatre team for their skills and knowledge in looking after our daughter!

Then we move onto the PICU ! Within this ward are the most amazing bunch of people, who always go above and beyond ! Infection control standards are of the highest we have ever witnessed and a special mention to Phyllis the domestic who is a credit to her team ! The doctors and nurses in the PICU are amazing and don’t always get the credit they are due.

Then we move to 1E ! Sister Bell and her team are phenomenal ! They are a hard working team who always have time for patients and parents! We always received a high standard of care within the ward.  The ward rounds are always well organised and a clear plan is always made and the team always listen to our input !

So thank you to everyone!!

Thank you for sharing this lovely post about your daughter's care with us, it's much appreciated!

It is fantastic to hear that your daughter is being so well looked after by the different teams involved in her care.

Dear Airdrie patient,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind feedback. Its great to hear about your positive experience right through from theatre, to PICU and then ward 1E.

We have a very strong focus on infection control and I am delighted you note infection control to be of the highest standard you have ever witnessed.

I will pass on to Mr Peng, the much loved Phyllis, the PICU nurses and doctors, SCN Bell and her team in ward 1E. They will all be delighted and we are grateful for the feedback.
