"Partner currently receiving treatment during covid 19 pandemic"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Dermatology University Hospital Hairmyres / Diabetes care (Ward 10) University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12)

(as a relative),

Staff at hairmyres on ward 12 have been outstanding, partner has been in for 3 weeks before and start of pandemic, receiving a high duty of care for cellulitis in the bone and various other health conditions.  Staff on ward 12 really lifted his spirits and had good banter with cleaning and meal staff.

He has now been moved to ward 10 to make beds available for pandemic and would like to wish all the staff on ward 12 and in rest of the hospital THANKS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK YOU DO FROM MY FAMILY TO YOU WE ALL CLAPPED FOR YOU WELL DONE AND GOOD LUCK XXX

Dear LONEWOLFGER,

It's good to know that your partner has received good medical treatment, but the human side of care plays a significant part in that as well. Thanks for getting in touch to recognise the professionalism of all the clinical and support staff in Ward 12.

I can assure you that colleagues throughout the NHS were touched and humbled by the show of public support last night; absolutely incredible!

I trust your partner will continue to receive excellent care in ward 10 and wish them well with ongoing treatment and recovery.

I'll be sure to share your feedback with the team. Keep well.

Kind regards

Rick
