Sent to medway from sittingbourne memorial he was seen by triage even though we were told we would go straight to ear nose and throat, sent to Memorial Hospital A+e in another waiting area where elderly people were waiting in hard chairs after 3 hrs seen by a doctor who was very good said my son needed admission but no beds available, sent back to the waiting room with a cannula for iv antibiotics, no wrist band "! Called into a room given antibiotics without confirmation of name dob, after seven hours sitting a hard chair no blanket or pillow lights on bright nurses calling people all night, my son is 6ft 7 in and was in so much pain and discomfort we made the decision to take him home as he was receiving no care a nurse was doing random bps going from person to person with no hand hygiene, with the beginning of the coronavirus we felt this was unsafe practice, my son was safer at home
