I have regular prescriptions sent down to Rowlands Pharmacy each month which sounds straight forward enough BUT looking on your website it tells me to order in plenty of time and not to run out (which I'm not supposed to anyway) Some medication lasts a month and some dont depending on my condition diagnosed by Hereford Hospital. The website and signs in the Surgery tell me when to order so I can collect from the town Pharmacy. ..but to my surprise if I order after Wednesday at noon I cannot collect it until Monday!!! That's six days!!!??? I have tried to order ahead to make sure they have time to process it but when going to the town Pharmacy its hardly ever there!! Luckily the Surgery has still been open so had to go down to speak with someone and was told I had ordered too early and it wasnt due as it looked like I was over ordering (which I never do!) I just don't want to run out.
Now I'm really confused about all this...why does it take 6 days to order, send and dispense a prescription these days when it goes via an electronic system when I've ordered in plenty of time even taking in the weekends.
The lady I spoke to in the Nunwell dispenary was quite rude and sharp with me when I quiered this?? I am in my 70's and cannot walk well anymore. The GP won't give me more than one box at a time (which i understand) but I'm finding this happening more and more!! I often have to ask a neighbour to collect my prescriptions for me as I cannot drive either, then causing them a wasted journey when the prescriptions arnt done??!!...I am finding your repeat prescription system very confusing and out of date I'm sorry to say....
All the girls are very polite and most helpful in your reception and most in your Dispenary but I am elderly and cannot keep going backwards and forwards between Nunwell and Rowlands, it's getting worse and worse and I'm unwell ..please could you review your waiting times as 6 days is far too long to wait! ...So am I to run out of medications or order too early? Can someone please explain what I am meant to do. Thank you.
"Prescription waiting times??"
