What I liked
I had my First baby here and found the treatment so good that even though I now technically fall under Leeds area of care I have requested to have my second child here (especially considering the experiences of my friends and relatives at leeds were so poor).
Unfortunately things didn't go exactly to plan (as they rarely do when you are having a baby) and I ended up having to have a c -section with my first due to teh way he was positioned but everything went well and I had no further complications. I crossed over from one midwife to another as shift changes took place but found both midwives to be really reassuring and helpful and I always knew what was going on. They handed over really well to each other and to my surprise the first midwife came up to visit us and make sure we were doing well when she came back on shift which I thought was lovely.
What could be improved
The only little thing that could have been improved was the way the ward rounds are done with the medication (after delivery) as on some occassions I was receiving my medication a little later than I was prescribed it and I felt I really needed it by time I got it but had to wait a while before it kicked in.
