"Miscarriage lack of communication"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I felt Numb as i said the words to her

My GP rang me today and asked how was my pregnancy getting on as they had to check my medicine since i have epilepsy  - i turned round and i said but im not pregnant no more, i lost my baby 

The doctor said they had not had any notification from the hospital, which wasn't their fault i can see and i'm the doctor felt awful making the phone call to me

I think the hospital has been very poor here not notifying them as other women could be in the same situation as me

Good afternoon, I am so sorry that we failed to notify your GP that you had lost your baby and that this caused further distress to you and your fiancé. I have discussed all the issues raised with the relevant departments.
