About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

Due to a suspect heart issue I recently got taken into Accident and Emergency, ARI by ambulance.  The paramedics Emma and Fraser were brilliant from the minute they arrived and despite my high anxiety managed to reassure me and transported me safely into ARI.

I was seen immediately by a very friendly, caring nurse and thereafter by Doctor Megan and her senior (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name).  Both were great and swiftly carried out the various tests quickly and calmly while keeping me informed and up to date during my visit.  I saw another 2 nurses who also were very friendly and reassuring which made the whole experience much less upsetting.

The NHS are working very hard in extremely difficult circumstances but this experience shows they are doing this with a smile on their faces and 100% commitment to all their patients.

Thank you all for your kindness and care.

Dear wearefamily,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your recent experience while in the Emergency Department.

The NHS is indeed experiencing challenging times at the moment but so glad the team were still able to deliver the care that your required and with a calm and friendly manner and provide the reassurance that you required during a stressful and worrying time for you.

The team will be delighted to have your feedback and I will ensure it is shared with the whole department.

I hope you are feeling much better.

With best wishes

Fiona Robertson

Chief Nurse
