"Hearing Aid repair"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Audiology (Hearing)

(as the patient),

I received my hearings aids in November 2018 and the one for my left ear has “buzzed” intermittently ever since. Two previous visits for repair appointments only solved the problem in the very short term with new tubing and trumpets and the buzzing came back. It was so loud people standing close to me could hear it.

Last week I returned for a third visit and this time saw Lee and his manager Emma.

It seems that because of my particular hearing loss an adjustment to the calibration (that was subsequently saved onscreen) was needed to resolve the problem and not the solutions offered previously.

Very pleased to have had my first “buzz free” week and impressed with the care and attention given by Lee and Emma. Although disappointing that it took 3 visits to achieve this recalibration.
