"Great experience of elective C section Feb 2020"

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all the staff who looked after me, and my new baby at the QMC in Nottingham. My experience could not have been better. I was so impressed by all the health professionals I met, the whole process ran so smoothly and everyone I encountered was warm, caring and spent time explaining everything to me.

I previously had an emergency C section for my first child and was booked in for an elective C section. I must thank the obstetric consultant who I saw in the obstetric clinic beforehand, she communicated excellently and was very thorough and kind and explained all the risks to me at clinic and booked me in for the C section.

I would especially like to thank our midwife, our anaesthetist, our obstetric surgeon and all the obstetric theatre staff as well as everyone on ward B26 . The midwives and support staff on B26 were so very kind and everyone treated me with respect, dignity and although they must have been under huge pressures gave me the time and care that I needed.

My whole experience was wonderful from arriving at labour ward , being introduced to all the theatre staff, the whole experience of the C section and my child being born and the recovery on B26 also.

I would also like to thank all the neonatal doctors we encountered, both on the ward and also in the clinics we attended. The clinics were well organised and again everyone we met was kind and communicated excellently.

I have been so impressed by the care provided at Nottingham QMC and all the exceptional people I met. I can't express just how grateful I am and how outstanding your staff and units are.
