I accompanied my 92 year old mother to an Out Patient appointment this afternoon.
The receptionist was very helpful and indicated which side of the waiting room would be most appropriate for us to sit in, a small detail but for a frail elderly lady in a wheelchair, good advice.
We were then seen by Dr Hayman, who treated Mum with the utmost dignity respect and kindness. His examination was very thorough, he was extremely patient and at no time were we made to feel rushed. Mums opinion and thoughts were considered and she was involved in the decision making. We both had plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
I appreciate that this is an incredibly busy time for all staff, particularly managing time demands with the added burden of planning required for the Covid 19 outbreak.
These pressures were certainly not evident during the consultation.
So a very big thank you for the kind care and attention you gave to both my mum and myself.
"Excellent experience in OPD"
