"Criteria for a chiropodist in Gould Ward"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics

(as a relative),

She has considerable pain due to her toe nails which need cutting I spoke to a nurse this morning who promised to ring me back regarding this matter I rang again in the afternoon spoke to the same person who once again promised to ring me later in the day this once again has not happened.

I was told that you had a   chiropodist but they only tended to patients with diabetes I thought the criteria for this type of problem would have been bad feet it seems quite ridiculous for someone to be in hospital and not getting treatment for a particular problem

I am sorry that you feel that we have not supported you with this problem, unfortunately the hospital only have Chiropodist for patients with diabetes. The nurse called several other agencies to try and find a solution but they are unable to visit patients in hospital. We have asked the surgeons to review her feet.

I hope this will re-assure you that we are trying to resolve this problem.
