"a sick nurse dealing with patients "

About: Lister Hospital

I was going through the egg collection procedure on the 3rd floor of the Lister hospital on February 19, 2020. This was a private treatment. When I arrived, the nurse who came into my room twice in the morning to measure blood pressure and give instruction appeared visibly sick and had an intense and frequent cough. I couldn’t believe that the hospital would allow somebody that sick to be around patients, especially those undergoing procedures under general anaesthetic. Luckily, after the first two times it was a different nurse who was assisting me but the sick nurse was still there (my room was next to the nurses’ station and I could hear her coughing from inside my room). The Lister Hospital asks patients to fill put a coronavirus form every single visit but it is ultimately disappointing that they apply much less scrutiny to their own staff and expose patients to significant risks.
