I deal with awful triad asthma (asthma itself, severe aspirin sensitivity, and nasal polyps) and they were removed at Gartnavel Hospital after me having them for over 6 years.
My entire experience was wonderful and I couldn't be any happier, I got seen to right away, every single member of staff from the receptionists, the wonderful woman called Anne who was in charge of filling out all of my forms, the entire anaesthetic team, the surgeon(s) and the nurses who looked after me afterwards were all absolutely wonderful. Everyone kept me at ease the entire time, apologised about the waiting but that's to be expected with there being so many patients to be dealt with and understaffing, and asked me loads of questions to keep my mind off of things since I was slightly nervous.
I'm home now and I can finally breathe through my nose, my hearing has improved, my partner says that I'm not snoring anymore, and my tastebuds have improved immensely so now all my favourite foods taste even better. It's not been long but just thinking about how much better I feel could make me cry from happiness. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire team yesterday, I can't even begin to thank you enough or explain what it means to me.
"Entire experience was wonderful"
