"Thanks for my mother's care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Care of the Elderly (Wards 9-12) University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My mother was admitted to University Hospital Wishaw in December 2019 following a terrible accident at home.  She is currently residing in Ward 12 and is due to be discharged on Monday.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Joanna and her team in Ward 12.  Particularly Abbie who displayed unfaltering dedication to my mum and the other patients.  I also include the other dedicated members of staff who covered this 6 bedded bay.  I'm sorry I don't know all your names.

My mum was so blessed to have such a caring, attentive, professional team looking after her.  Nothing was too much trouble for them.  I would like to say to the staff that your care of my mum has been outstanding.  I can't thank you all enough.

My mum would also like to thank you all for the support offered to her emotionally, psychologically and medically.  She also can't thank you enough.

My mum would also like to thank the tea lady's for being so kind and thoughtful  towards her throughout her stay.  Stating that everyday she looked forward to her lovely cup of tea and biscuit/cake.  Thanks again.

Dear A-99

Thank you for posting such lovely comments regarding your mums outstanding care received within ward 12.

The staff strive everyday to provide a high standard of care but it is reassuring to hear from yourself that the team were so caring, attentive and professional when looking after her offering support emotionally and psychologically too.

The ward team comprises of lots of individuals and a important group is the tea lady's who I am sure will be delighted to note that they were so kind and thoughtful.

I will ensure your post is shared with the ward team in particular Abbie who you have particularly mentioned.

Thanks again for your post and I wish your mum every best wish on her discharge.

Regards

Janice
