What I liked
I stayed on Gloucester post natal ward for 6 days whilst my son and I recovered from an infection after the birth, and I thought the professionalism and compassion of the staff was fantastic. I was on the ward for longer than people normally are, and so I got to know the staff, who were without exception friendly and supportive, always treating me as an individual and ready to have a short chat with me as well as get on with their clinical tasks. I had some initial problems breastfeeding, and anytime I asked for help, day or night, someone would come and spend time helping me. This support and kindness really helped me to leave hospital feeling confident about life with my new baby, and was far more than I expected to receive from my stay in hospital. I can't thank the staff enough for the way they looked after me and my son.
What could be improved
The food wasn't very good
"Amazing staff"
