"5 stars for Stepping Hill ACU"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU)

(as a relative),

My 101 year old mother needed a fairly urgent red-cell transfusion, and the ACU welcomed her in at 4:30pm. All staff were really friendly and professional, and made her feel remarkably at ease.

They didn't just carry out what she had been referred for, but carried out thorough pre-checks, including a precautionary chest x-ray. They provided food and drinks as desired, and the whole process was not finished until 11:30pm.

They provided wheelchair porterage back to the car, via the one entrance that was still open. Wonderful care indeed. Simply cannot fault it.

Many thanks.

It’s great to hear that you felt that the staff were friendly, professional and made you all feel at ease throughout your time with us

I will most definitely pass your kind words and lovely comments to the teams who cared for your mother throughout all your time with us.
