"Good care at Queen's Medical Centre but building exterior 'grim looking'"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

i have a hand injury that is taking a lot of diagnosing! All the staff at the hand Clinic are very helpful - it is very useful to be offered an open appointment so i do not have to keep going back to the GP for referral, but can make an appointment myself.

My big complaint about QMC is the approach to the main entrance. The spiral stairs are filthy, the entrance is dirty and grim looking. It is appalling to see patients in night clothes outside smoking and bringing dirt from their footwear back on to the wards. Once inside the hospital all is fine, but it makes your heart sink to see the disgusting state of the entrance.
