About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as the patient),

I was met by an extremely polite and courteous young man who was very welcoming and an asset to the department.   I'm afraid the same cannot be said for the radiologist doing my ultrasound scan. This staff member hardly looked up when I came in, let alone said anything. They seemed pretty bored throughout the whole procedure and seemed to want to usher me out quickly. I came away feeling disheartened and a bit told off to be honest.

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback on Care Opinion. I was heartened to read that your initial experience was good and that the staff member was polite and courteous.

However very disappointed and sorry to read that during your appointment that the radiologist appeared to lack interest or treat you in a person centred way. This approach is not acceptable to us within the department as we continually strive to provide a quality service to all patients who are referred to radiology.
