"The most supportive bunch"

About: Change Grow Live Cambridgeshire / Wisbech

(as a service user),

First of all, I really want to thank Adrian at CGL Wisbech, I came to you guys absolutely unsure how to deal with my addiction and was so scared of feeling judged and being “another number”. Adrian assessed me originally, and although he is not my key worker, he has supported me ever since, this is either as soon as I enter the building, a quick chat to check on me, or texting/calling me with any updates he’s come across to help me out as he simply cares and I couldn’t ask for anything more! From receiving the help I did from him, I have felt confident enough to come back and have so much trust in him and cannot wait to see him again - thank you Adrian. I have attended several groups: one being Adrian’s whom trains so well, he has such a fun and bubbly personality but gets to the point to make sure YOU understand how you feel; one with Steve and Colette who I cannot express enough they are amazing and so supportive, it’s great to hear their own experiences to help you relate and understand and they have so much time for you; the last ones have been with Andrea who is amazing, she is such a wonderful person who will get you thinking about things you never even considered, very strong and personal in a great way. I haven’t yet had a meeting with my key worker although this is booked in and I am looking forward to it! I cannot thank all of the people who work here enough, you have provided me with unforgettable support and I’m only at the start of my journey. I’m not sure where I would be without you all - thank you

Wow!! Thank you so much for your feedback. Entering treatment is a big move, so I am so pleased this has been a positive experience for you. You mention Adrian and he is a new member of the team so it is extra pleasing that he is having such an impact already.

It is the start of your journey as you said but there is no doubt you have jumped straight in and committed to your recovery. I'm sure you will be involved in lots of different areas of the service.

I look forward to hearing more about your journey in the future.

Thanks

Paul Pescud
