"Overall he would recommend the services"

About: St Lukes Hospice

(as a service user),

First hearing that my dad was going to a hospice, he was terrified as he thought its a place for nearly dead people but the staff in St Luke's Hospice made his see hope nether then missing.

The staff was kind, their information was clear and the help  that he received with massages relieved his stress.

The food was good and he enjoyed that he had a choice to eat differently everyday.

The nurses were kind and lovely. They had given him a machine that gives him the medicine on its own which made his stay better as he didn't have to worry about it.

The doctors delivered information clearly and were patient as the translator (one of the staff) translated words to my dad.

He enjoyed the lack of restriction on visiting hours and that there was a playroom for his son. He also valued that he could get out of there for some time during the day to visit his family.

Overall he would recommend the services and rate his experience as 10/10

Dear Stonemn64

Thank you for your very kind feedback. I am happy to know that your dad found his stay here a pleasant one.

I appreciate your feedback as our aim is to ensure patients stay here is one that is positive and person centred hence the different menu choices each day and no visiting time restrictions.

All the best
