"The midwives here deserve medals"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Community Maternity Unit Royal Alexandra Hospital / Maternity care (Ward 31)

(as a service user),

Gave birth to my daughter at the RAH and received fabulous support from all the midwives attending the birth and afterwards, and also from the consultant obstetrician in the run up to my due date (Mr. Thomson). It is a place where I felt listened to, and safe, thus enabling me to give birth without the same anxiety as at previous hospitals. There were no interventions or complications during birth and I will always have warm memories of this time. The midwives here deserve medals for the work they do and midwife led care should be the standard for maternity services.

Dear Emmy,

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback you have left for the staff of the Royal Alexandra Maternity Unit. I am sure they will be delighted that they were able to have such a positive influence on your pregnancy and childbirth experience, and I shall pass on your kind comments.

Congratulations and very best wishes
