I recently received an apology from my GP after an issue was discovered with a practice receptionist telling me about test results.
The issue was that results from ARI tests weren't shared with me so despite being told on the telephone that I had a serious problem neither the hospital nor the practice would share the results. The hospital had given results to the GP Practice but they repeatedly told me to contact the hospital.
Ive had to repeatedly visit my GP practice about my pain, nausea and vomiting and despite GP practice saying they'd made a referral I only got an appointment after commenting on this web site.
Now, however, I've also been asked to attend for a medical procedure by a completely different department and neither the hospital nor GP Practice can tell me why. When I asked the GP practice about this and reported to them my inability to eat at all the GP practice left a message for me to attend the referral appointment 6 weeks away.
Ive also noticed increasingly raised blood pressure, now at 190/100 which has been logged to the GP s practice and not once have they suggested that it needs reviewed. I am trying to take responsibility for my own health but if I report a new issue like hypertension continually getting worse, and the inability to eat to my GP practice and their only response is to wait 6 weeks to be seen then I have serious doubt about how much they actually care for their patients.
