About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Attended University Hospital Monklands this afternoon with my granddaughter who was injured at school.

Was so impressed with the service. It is a minor injuries unit and A and E.  We were seen within 45 minutes of arriving and my granddaughter was given pain killers , x ray and discharged with instructions on care all within 2 hours .

Seen by Staff Nurse Gaynor who took the time to explain things to my granddaughter about her foot injury and explained step by step what was happening and took the time to explain the reason for the post injury care . Couldnt have been more impressed with the service we received during what was obvious to see was a very busy time .

Thanks so much for getting in touch after your recent experience with your grandaughter in our A & E department. It is heartwarming to hear that you had such a positive experience and were impressed by our team, particularly Gaynor, and we will be sure to pass this feedback onto them.


Our clinical team are always looking for ways to ensure high quality patient care delivered in a timely and efficent manner in a very busy department so its great to hear that the communication around both her immediate and post injury care was clear and helpful.

I do hope your grandaughter is recovering well and once again thanks again for taking the time to feedback to us on your experience.
