"Patient happy with care provided"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward 9.

Patient happy with care provided by Occupational Therapist who has been very helpful. Helped with diet, and has organised. and given appliances to use at home. Nurses have been very good,

Buzzers sometimes go for a while and other times not, usually longer at night.

Medication arrives at varying times.

Doctors have explained condition for patient in language he understands. Patient been kept informed of road ahead and has been given an date to go home.

Family have been able to access meetings with nurses/doctors at times suitable to family. Family happy with this.

Dear Uhh201,

First of all I thank you for posting a very positive comment in relation to the service that the Occupational Therapist has provided whilst you have been in hospital.

Being in hospital is never an easy time and I'm glad to know that we, as a profession, have made a difference to your stay and hopefully the quality of your life on your discharge.

I wish you well and thank you once again for your kind comments. I shall pass them onto the therapist who covers ward 9.
