"Explained my care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Surgery (Ward 5)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward 6

The doctors have explained my care to me and I understand everything they explained.

The nurses are very helpful and come right away when I press the buzzer.

The ward is very clean and very tidy. They food is very acceptable.

The porters are very efficient. If I need to go to the toilet they will help right away and never leave me stranded in the toilet.

Dear Uhh193 (as a volunteer/advocate)

I am pleased to hear that you found the ward clean and tidy and that the food was very acceptable.

All our staff work extremely hard to deliver high standards of patient care. I will pass your comments on to the team.

Regards

William

Dear Uhh193,

Thanks for your recent post on patient care opinion. As the Food Fluid and Nutrition Lead for NHSL, thanks for your comments relating to the food. It is always good to have feedback relating to the food as we work very closely as a team to ensure patients are receiving the correct nutrition at all times whilst in our care. I work very closely with the catering department, and we are about to change our menu here in University Hospital Hairmyres. This will be launched next week, to a two week menu cycle, we will be working as a team to speak to patients around the changes and receive feedback.

Many thanks once more

Kind Regards

Karen
