Response from Una Daniel, Children's Centre Coordinator, Sure Start Children's Centre, Health Partnership

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience in the children centres.

Play is one of the main ways in which children learn and develop. It helps to build self worth by giving a child a sense of his or her own abilities and to feel good about themselves. Because it’s fun, children often become very absorbed in what they are doing.

The groups also enables parents/carers/grandparents to meet other people and form lasting friendships in some cases.
