"The support, care and patience that I was shown"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

From the first time that I attended the Maternity day care unit as a high risk pregnancy, until I came home with my baby boy this week, no one could have prepared me for the support, care and patience that I was shown.  There was no question that I had that was too trivial and no request was too silly.  The midwives, nurses, doctors, surgeons, consultants, students etc who attended to me throughout my pregnancy and c-section have been so professional and compassionate towards me (especially the theatre and recovery staff who had to put up with me descending into tears every few minutes!)

If it weren't for all of these amazing people, my little boy and I wouldn't have had the best start that we have had and for that, I can't ever thank them enough.
