About: Medway Maritime Hospital

A&E don’t deal with anything any more, the waiting time is very short that’s because they send everyone round to MedOCC where their waiting is like 5 hours! If they shared the load we wouldn’t have his issue.

I went in with shortness of breath and they leave me for over 5 hours. I walked out in the end because no one was helping! Would advice Medway to anyone unless you want to sit in a doctors surgery for hours on end.

The Emergency Department team and MedOCC work collaboratively to ensure that patients are directed to the most appropriate clinical area and seen and treated according to their presenting condition and symptoms. If you have concerns about your care next time please do mention it to a member of staff who can explain and discuss the reasons behind decisions made.
