"Extremely long wait"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I have progressive ms and have now been waiting 20 months for a follow up appointment with consultant. I feel abandoned and have little hope of getting any help to improve my quality of life. this obviously affects my family also. It would help to know what is going on at Musgrove.

I was so sorry to read of your poor experience and long wait with the Neurology department.

Please do telephone the outpatients appointments team on 01823 342750 and ask to speak with the Outpatient Manager and I would be happy to discuss this further with you and arrange an appointment for you to be seen.

I would like to reiterate my sincere apologies for your extended wait and the care provided fell short of the standard we normally provide for our patients. Please accept my assurance that your concerns have been listened to and acted upon to prevent this happening again.
