I visited my GP on a recent Monday and he decided to request an urgent ENT referral regarding a problem with my vocal cords. The next day (Tuesday) I received a text on my phone giving me an appointment for the following Tuesday ie a marvellous response.
The clinic I attended was a in a pleasant, clean and calm environment. Although the appointment was delayed by about 40minutes, due to unforeseen delays experienced by the ENT consultant, everyone present was kept well-informed about the situation ie good communications. most people can be patient as long as they know what's happening. Several apologies were made for the delay.
When I met the consultant, he listened carefully and attentively to my problems and gave no sense of being in a rush, to 'catch-up'. All the staff I met were friendly and professional.
People sometimes moan about the NHS, and it certainly has its problems, but I can only say my experience was entirely positive. Thank you.
