Basildon Paediatrics A&E you've done it again, another 5* service from your paediatric team. We visited today after my toddler took a tumble, split her ear open and bumped her head. We were seen by the triage nurse within 10 minutes and the emergency nurse saw us within 5-10 minutes of that interaction.
The cubicle we were placed in was extremely clean, the doctor was very friendly, patient and thorough with looking at the injury, checking for any other trauma and making sure we were provided with all relevant head injury and treatment information. He brought a nurse over to 'stitch' her up.
The nurse got her trolley ready and popped over within 5 minutes, she was extremely friendly and good with my daughter. She gave us an extra leaflet and sign posted us in case the wound was to open up again. We were out of the department within an hour.
