11/19 I was out for a walk when I felt very dizzy and had to crouch down before I passed out. I was taken to A&E at Victoria Hospital where I was checked thoroughly (BP, pulse, blood test, x-ray, ECG) and correctly diagnosed. The nurse and doctor were excellent. They were very professional and very caring. The nurse was extra helpful. The referral to cardiology was prompt.
Four days later the cardiologist at Queen Margaret was very good. I was thoroughly checked again and given all the information I required for my medication and cardioversion treatment. He gave me a prescription for anticoagulant and referred me to Edinburgh Royal for ablation treatment.
1/20 The day intervention unit at Victoria were superb. Lots of caring people all doing their jobs in a highly competent manner. Good explanations of what would happen and lots of reassurances. The procedure worked first time and was declared successful. Having not eaten since early morning I was given a snack and drink before being discharged.
