"I felt well cared for"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology (Stomach and Gut)

(as a service user),

I was impressed with the treatment that I received during my two recent stays in ward 104 in December (10 nights) and January (19 nights).

I have ongoing bowel difficulties and required treatment to help clear out my bowel and also nutritional support from gastroenterology dietitians. During both my stays I felt well cared for by the the doctors and nursing staff. It was very evident that staff were all working extremely hard and nothing was too much bother. It was evident to see that the ward was always busy but staff were always helpful, caring and willing to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I am thankfully home recovering and awaiting further gastric investigations.

Dear Bonnie46

Many thanks for your kind feedback regarding the treatment that you received whilst a patient on 2 occasions in ward 104. The team,as you mentioned work hard to ensure that their patients receive the correct treatment and all their needs are met.

I will share this feedback with the team and they will be delighted to read of the impact that they had on your stay and treatment.

I am glad to hear that you are recovering at home and hope your further investigations go well.

With best wishes

Fiona Robertson

Chief Nurse
