"Phoenix ward ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Uncontrollable crying, fear in my chest.. overwhelming anxiety at it’s all time best.

Worried about reigny, who’s trying hard to breathe.. constant monitoring, it was hard to leave.

Down to the ward, where we’ve been before, nurses so welcoming.. opening up the doors.

“He’s in the best place, we’ll do all that we can” reassuring this mother, as the treatments began.

Looking down at my son, wires hanging off of him.. heart rates, oxygen, lights turned to dim, working all night to look after him.

24 hour monitoring, nurses always looking their best, coming in quietly whilst I needed some rest.

Room 27 with a big window to see, just in case something happened, they could move sharply.

Hours went by, my baby’s health progressing.. kissing his sweet head whilst he lays there resting.

Through all the hours and days that went by, they stuck beside him, monitoring by his bedside.

I thank you nurses, your care I will not forget, I am well and truly forever in your debt.

You cared for him, with a smile on your face, played with him, laughed and claimed he’s your best mate. ❤️.

Your caring, loving souls, that is your reward.. as you care for sick babies, down at the Phoenix ward.
