I've had to have a couple of visits to the maternity unit over recent weeks and wanted to thank a few stand out members of staff.
First off Christine from the ultrasound department was fantastic. She was so calm and reassuring during a 36 week fluid check and filled us with complete confidence that we were in safe hands.
Secondly, a trip to maternity assessment after a slip in the ice today was quick, efficient and friendly. Dr Abi a friendly and professional ST2 was fantastic and gave us a thorough check over for baby and also a quick ortho review for a sore wrist which was appreciated since I'm sure it's not in his remit to have to check ortho injuries on an obs ward! Dr Abi had obviously taken the time to thoroughly check my notes and knew my history which was appreciated as I didn't have to repeat my story and gave him a sound understanding of my antenatal background. Siobhan, midwife was also very friendly and reassuring. Very patient-centred experience and very pleased to have such friendly and supportive staff in NHS GGC
