"Such a fine team"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Oncology

(as the patient),

I recently completed a long course of radiotherapy in Lincoln Hospital and I want you to know how pleased and impressed I am with the receptionists I met and the radiotherapists who treated me. Without exception and over more than seven weeks of treatment, they were polite, cheerful, business-like and compassionate. Though members of a busy department, they made a much-appreciated connection with me and other patients. I need hardly describe to you the importance of the positive tone they set, especially in the face of some patients’ fear and despair. Congratulations to those who assembled such a fine team.

Dear a Lincoln Patient

Thank you for your kind words about the radiotherapy team here at Lincoln and I will ensure that these are passed on to everyone. We appreciate that it is a difficult time when coming to hospital for such a long course of daily treatment so we aim to make this as easy as possible. It’s reassuring and affirming to know that this makes a difference to our patients.

Regards

Lee
