"Prompt investigation into haematuria"

About: Pembury Hospital / Urology Sevenoaks Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Visiting my GP with stomach pains led to her discovery of haematuria and the possibility of a mass on my kidney.

I was referred for tests, the first of which took place the next day - an ultrasound scan which fortunately showed no abnormalities.

I had a consultant appointment within a week and was referred for a CT scan and cystoscopy as a precaution, both of which took place within a fortnight. Fortunately nothing untoward was discovered.

The fact that whole process was so fast and efficient has given me confidence in the NHS should I have any health issues in the future.
