"My father's dignified death"

I would like to compliment the staff of ward 6x.

My father was moved to this ward from A&E on 6th January 2020. He was near the end of his life and had been fighting to breathe for several hours before this transfer.

They immediately cleaned him up and made him comfortable both physically and emotionally. They treated us, the relatives, with kindness and empathy.

Unfortunately, my Father lost his fight later that morning.

This is never a good experience I'm sure but, the staff made it as dignified and painless as they could, allowing us time and space to say goodbye.

Thank you so much for taking care of my Father in his final hours.
