"I did not expect to get the bed repaired over Christmas"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Community Nursing Service University Hospital Monklands

(as a carer),

On Christmas eve my husbands hospital bed would not work.  The company who's number was on the bed were not answering their phones so I phoned my District nurses and they advised they would get someone from Monklands Hospital to come and see if it was a quick repair.  After many phone calls from the District nurses to check my husband was ok and a visit from 2 men from Monklands hospital at half 10 Chirstmas Eve who said they could not repair the bed and advised nothing would be done till the 27th.  I then got a call from a company called MMS from Chapelhall who said that the District Nurses and the CEO had phone him to call out and repair the bed.  The bed was fixed on Christmas Day.

The reason for this is that I would like to thank the District Nurse Team, I think the nurse in charge was Maryann, Heather and all the Team, your CEO and the company MMS from Chapelhall.   I did not expect to get the bed repaired over Christmas and what a great service.  THANKYOU.

Dear Madmo

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback and share your experience, which I am sure must have been very worrying for you at the time.

Our aim is for patients to feel safe and well cared for and I am really pleased that in this situation the hospital bed was repaired so quickly to your satisfaction. I am delighted that the district nursing team and wider health and management team were able to work together to provide a speedy, positive outcome for you and your husband.

I will of course pass on your thanks and compliments of a great service to everyone involved and I am sure they too would have been relieved that this could be resolved for you and your husband.

Kind regards

Lynsey
